Pakistani travelers used to be able to get a visa on arrival at Doha airport. Since 31 March 2026, that is no longer possible. The Embassy of Pakistan in Doha announced the suspension in an advisory to Pakistani nationals.

What changed

  • Before: Pakistani passport holders could get a visa on arrival in Qatar.
  • Since 31 March 2026: visa on arrival is suspended. You must get a visa before you travel, through Qatar's Hayya platform.

If you arrive without a visa, you can expect to be refused boarding or entry. Apply on Hayya well before your flight.

Where Pakistanis can still go without an embassy visa

Qatar's change doesn't affect other destinations. With a Pakistani passport you can still visit 69 destinations without going to an embassy: visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or with an online eTA or eVisa.
